Junior Revenue Accountant

Role and Responsibilities

The Junior Revenue Accountant will report directly to the Lead Accountant. The Junior Revenue Accountant provides management of financial information by compiling, researching, and analyzing accounts; assists in preparing financial statements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepares quotes for spare parts and gyros, sales orders, order acknowledgements, and commercial invoices
  • Communicates payment requirements, shipping information, and other information as required to customer
  • Requests shipping quotes from freight forwarder and schedules shipments
  • Manages shipments until they are delivered to customer
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related assignments as needed
  • Assists with revenue reporting, sales tax filings, revenue journal entries, revenue reconciliations, and the collection and analysis of customer end user information
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and 1-3 years related experience.  Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision are essential.  Must have strong verbal skills and the ability to communicate professionally.  Strong command of Microsoft Office products and interpersonal skills are required. Qualified applicant must be professional, responsive, resourceful, flexible, well organized, detail oriented, and a team player with a positive work attitude.  Must be able to work independently, maintain confidentiality, gather and analyze information skillfully, and have general math skills.
